MISSION STATEMENT
The Josephine Dobbs Clement Early College High School Counseling Department is committed to providing each individual student with a strong, safe, and supportive, non-traditional educational environment. It is our goal to present various opportunities to each student that set the pace for great achievement. To help conventional high school students reach greater academic heights, by instilling and implementing HIGHER education work ethic and values. Our counseling department strives to foster a true wealth of knowledge that enhances the “whole” student, instilling a sense of personal, civic, and social responsibility. It is our mission to develop the intellectual, physical, and social skills of our students, that they may be assets to our diverse, mobile, and technologically expanding world.

PSAT EXTRA
PSAT/ NMSQT is on October 14, 2009
All 10th grade students will take the PSAT on the date listed above.
Juniors interested in taking the PSAT on this date will need to sign up and pay the fee of $13.00. See Ms. Lucas for more information!
Once test scores are returned, students can get extra information about individual PSAT results. Sign-up for a College QuickStart Account to gain access to your online PSAT/NMSQT score report, including projected SAT score ranges, state percentiles, and the power to sort answer explanations by difficulty and question type. Also, customize an online SAT plan and view your personalized lists of colleges, majors, and careers. It’s as easy as clicking the link below and providing the access code located on your paper-based PSAT score report. Score reports will be returned to students in December.

Seniors, Need Financial Aid?

You don't want to miss this opportunity to get help filling out your entire FAFSA form by finacial aid experts, FREE OF CHARGE.  Fill out your FAFSA form at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/index.htm

IMPORTANT: Seniors remember you must apply for a FAFSA Pin Number before you can fill out the FAFSA form. Parents, you also have to apply for your own FAFSA Pin as well. Get Your Graduation Materials from Jostens!
On September 1st, 2009 at 9:00am, Jostens was at J.D. Clement Early College High School to take Graduation Products and Class Ring Orders. If you missed this date, you still have a chance to place your order. Packets are available in Ms. Lucas' office or visit www.jostens.com for additonal information. Parents are invited to place orders as well. Get more information at www.jostensforparents.com . Seniors, all Cap and Gown orders need to be submitted to Josten's by December 10, 2009.
Senior Portraits
Prestige was in the building on September 8th, to take Senior Portraits. All seniors who did not participate can schedule an appointment in Prestige's state of the art Raleigh Studio to take your senior portraits.
